Three Penguins Earn Academic League Honors
St. Louis, Mo. -- The Youngstown State football team
had three student-athletes earn
Gateway Football Conference Academic
honors on Monday. Senior linebacker
Jon Tekac was a second-team Academic
All-Conference selection while
senior linebacker Justin Dellarose
and senior defensive end Martin
Stachowicz earned honorable-mention
accolades.
Tekac finished the year with a team-high 109 tackles and
posts a 3.12 grade-point average in
International Marketing/Spanish at
YSU. Dellarose had 67 tackles on the
year and owns a 3.12 GPA in Physical
Education and Stachowicz had 45
stops and a 3.19 in Psychology.
