Football: Penguins In The NFL Update, Johnson Makes Debut
Youngstown -- Former Youngstown State linebacker Tim
Johnson became the 17th Penguin to
appear in a National Football League
game last Sunday in the Oakland
Raiders' 41-20 victory over the
Arizona Cardinals.
Johnson was promoted to the active roster on Nov. 23 after
the Raiders released running back
Madre Hill. Johnson had been a
member of the Raiders' practice
squad since the first week of the
season. Johnson recorded a
special-teams tackle in the second
half of the game against the
Cardinals. The Raiders play the New
York Jets on Monday night this week.
Placekicker
Jeff Wilkins leads the St. Louis Rams in
scoring this season with 64 points.
Wilkins has made 12-of-16 field
goals and 28 extra points on the
year.
Former offensive tackle
Pat Crummey is a member of the New York Giants
practice squad. Crummey, who signed
as a free agent, has been on the
practice squad the entire season. |
