Football: Program Also Announces 2003 Schedule
Youngstown -- While
announcing their football schedule
for the upcoming 2002 campaign, the
YSU football program also announced
its schedule for the 2003 season on
Thursday.
The Penguins play six home games and five road contests,
including opening the year at Kent
State on August 28. The game will be
YSU’s first road season opener since
1995 which was also at Kent State.
Youngstown State’s home schedule includes Slippery Rock
(Sept. 6), Florida Atlantic (Sept.
20), SW Missouri State (Oct. 4),
Western Illinois (Oct. 11), Illinois
State (Oct. 25) and Western Kentucky
on Nov. 15. The Penguins play on the
road at Kent State (August 28), at
Liberty (Sept. 27), at Indiana State
(Oct. 18), at Northern Iowa (Nov. 1)
and at Southern Illinois (Nov. 15).
The Penguins have open dates on Sept. 13 and Nov. 22 with the
NCAA Division I-AA Playoffs set to
begin Nov. 29. |
