Football: Six Penguins Named to Football Gazette Region Team
Westmont, Ill.
-- The Youngstown State football team had six individuals named to
the Football Gazette's Division I-AA All-Northwest Region Team, the
publication announced on Monday.
Representing the Penguins on the Northwest Region Team were
junior center Ryan Jewell, junior cornerback Codera Jackson, junior
cornerback Jason Perry, senior defensive end Brandon Brown, senior
defensive end Justin Scholes and sophomore linebacker James Terry.
Jackson and Perry were selected to the second-team All-Region
squad while Brown, Scholes, Terry and Jewell were named third-team
All-Region.
The Football Gazette's Northwest Region consists of team's
from the Gateway Football Conference, Ohio Valley Conference, Great West
Conference, Big Sky Conference and the Pioneer Football League. |
