Football: Thirty-Nine
Penguins Achieve GPAs Above 3.0 in
Fall Semester
Youngstown –
Thirty-nine Youngstown State
football players recorded a
grade-point average of
3.00-or-better during the recently
concluded fall semester, the YSU
Athletic Department announced on
Friday.
Of the 39 student-athletes who had a GPA above a 3.00, eight
had a perfect 4.00 grade-point
average. Student-athletes who
maintained a perfect GPA in the fall
were fullback Kyle Banna,
placekicker Stephen Blose, punter
Erik Johnson, defensive back Tom
Krupko, offensive guard/center Brian
Mellott, strong safety Bob Perez,
quarterback Todd Rowan and fullback
Joel Younkins.
The group of Penguins who had at least a 3.00 GPA in the fall
were: Patrick Bellish, Andrew
Billet, Tyler Booth, Nick Canterino,
Bobby Coates, Andy Colegrove, Tim
Dewberry, Andre Elliott, Tyler
Figueroa, Nick Gooden, Blake
Halverson, Scooter Hargate, Dustin
Helle, Matt Kishman, Ben Nowicki,
Stiles O'Brien, Donny Olson, Na'eem
Outler, Brian Palmer, Gary Pezzuolo,
