Draft-Eligible Players Strut Skills
at Pro Day
Youngstown

The 2006 senior members of the
Youngstown State football team went
through various drills and tests on
Friday during the annual Pro Day
workout before NFL scouts at
Stambaugh Stadium.
A total of 22 individuals
participated in the workout. The
players went through numerous drills
testing strength, speed, quickness
and agility as numbers were
collected in the vertical jump,
standing broad jump, bench press
reps and 40-yard dash. Each player
was also weighed and measured for
the scouts.
Participating in the Pro Day
workouts were Joe Bishop, Josh
Cayson, Joe DeBee, Regis Edgerson,
Jameson Evans, Tom Froelich,
Monquantae Gibson, Chris Goffer,
Tariq Goode, Marty Hutchinson,
Demetrius Ison, Codera Jackson, Ryan
Jewell, Jeff Koval, Jamel Lee,
Marcus Mason, Jason Perry, T.J.
Peterson, Jim Phelan, Justin Reams,
Mike Schneider and Jeremiah Wright.
The Youngstown State football
program plays host to NFL scouts
throughout the year. Scouts are able
to watch practice, attend meetings
and meet players both during the
season and offseason.
The annual NFL Draft is
set for April 28-29 in New York
City. After the two draft days,
players are eligible to sign
free-agent contracts.
