Barnes Named Valley Football Special
Teams Player of the Week

Two big kickoff returns by sophomore
Dominique Barnes earned him the
Missouri Valley Football Conference
Special Teams Player-of-the-Week
Award, the conference announced on
Sunday.
Barnes had returns of 57 and 48
yards in the Penguins' 21-20 loss to
fourth-ranked Northern Iowa on
Saturday at Stambaugh Stadium. His
48-yarder set up the Guins' first
touchdown of the contest. Entering
the game, Barnes had eight returns
for 150 yards this season. He had
four returns against South Dakota
State and Liberty earlier this
season
Barnes also caught three passes
against the Panthers for 22 yards.
He has 25 receptions for 228 yards
this season.
North Dakota State running back
Tyler Roehl was named the Valley
Football Offensive Player of the
Week while UNI's Everette
Pedescleaux was tabbed the MVFC
Defensive Player of the Week.
