three against Florida International and one at McNeese
State...averaged 43.6 yards on nine kicks against FIU, including a
58-yarder...averaged 40.8 yards on six kicks against the Cowboys,

history (Nick Xides 40.2 in 1982)...finished fourth in the Gateway
in punting average and third in total attempts...tallied 63 punts on
the season...had a season-long 60-yard boot at Liberty...had nine
punts of 50-plus yards...placed 19 kicks inside the opponents
20...had a season-high nine punts at Northern Iowa...placed four
punts inside the 20 at UNI...had seven kicks against Kent State,
Florida Atlantic and Indiana State...kicked an extra point against
Slippery Rock...averaged more than 40 yards in seven
games...averaged 5.3 punts per game...recorded tackles against
Slippery Rock and Western Illinois...was a five-time YSU Special
Teams Player of the Game...earned his first letter.

kicked the longest field goal in school history making a 54-yarder
as a senior...he was 23-of-24 on extra-point kicks...kicked seven
field goals, four of which were 47 yards or more...was a first-team
All-Ohio District IV placekicker and an all-county punter and
kicker...was squad’s special team’s player of the year as a junior
and senior...80 percent of his kickoffs were touchbacks or reached
the end zone...kicked a 63-yard field goal in practice...his coach
was Joe Nohra...also played baseball.
