High School: A second-team all-state Division II selectionas a quarterback...was named the Portage County Touchdown Club Player of the Year...was a first-team Division II All-Northeast Inland District selection...selected as Portage Trail Conference Metro Division co-Offensive Player of the Year...as a senior, completed 140-of-217 passes for 2,272 yards...completion percentage of 64.5 percent...threw 22 touchdown passes...rushed for more than 500 yards while scoring 12 touchdowns...named his league’s co-MVP...team finished with a 10-1 record losing in the regional quarterfinals...started the year 10-0...as a junior, completed 154-of-217 passes for 2,055 yards...completed 71 percent of attempts...threw 26 touchdown passes....coach was Ed Becker...also played basketball.
