2005: Saw action in four games as a reserve tailback...one of seven true freshmen to see the field...had 31 carries for 134 yards and three touchdowns...scored a touchdown in three of four games played...had 15 carries for 62 yards and a score versus Slippery Rock...had a three-yard touchdown run in the third quarter...had five carries for 14 yards against Northeastern...ran the ball four times for 16 yards at Liberty...scored on an 11-yard run in the fourth quarter...had seven carries for 42 yards in Gateway debut at Indiana State...scored on a career-long 24-yard run in the fourth quarter...YSU was 3-0 when he scored a touchdown.

High School:
As a senior, was a second-team Class 5A All-State Associated Press Texas Sports Editors selection...was also a third-team Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A pick...in 14 games, he rushed for 2,493 yards on 306 carries and scored 33 touchdowns...averaged 8.1 yards per carry and 178.1 yards per game...ranked third in class 5A in yards, touchdowns and attempts...caught 11 passes for 186 yards and two scores...the Raiders finished the season 10-4 losing to Spring Branch Smithson Valley in the Division II Region IV finals...rushed for more than 100 yards on 11 occasions, including 10 straight contests...finished just under a 100 yards with 99 and 98 in his last two games...was named the San Antonio Express-News' Newcomer of the Year for his efforts...was a finalist for San Antonio Express-News Area Offensive Player of the Year...his rushing total was the seventh best in city history and second best in school history...was a unanimous selection to the District 27-5A squad...scored four touchdowns against San Antonio East Central, San Antonio Marshall and Laredo Nixon...had a least one score in every game...finished with 10 multi-touchdown games...rushed for a season-high 279 yards on 20 attempts in season opener against San Antonio MacArthur...had 352 total yards and three scores in that game...had a total of five 200-yard plus games...also went over 200 against East Central, San Antonio Clark, San Antonio Holmes and Corpus Christi Ray...had a season-best 32 attempts against San Antonio Jay...coach was Lee Bridges...played on the junior varsity team as a junior after transferring from San Antonio's Jay High School...Texas High School rules require student-athletes to sit out one year after transferring...also competed on the track and field team in the sprint events and relays.
