GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE: Directed Georgia Military to a number-two ranking in the final NJCAA poll...GMC was just behind Glendale (Ariz.) Community College in the final rankings...the Bulldogs finished his sophomore year with a 9-2 record after winning their final eight games of the season...two losses were by a total of five points (two at Snow and three in overtime versus Navarro)...GMC beat Coffeyville 21-17 in the Golden Isles Bowl Classic by scoring two fourth-quarter touchdowns...Williams played a key role in the win throwing for two fourth-quarter scores and engineering both drives...had a 15-yard scoring pass early in the fourth quarter and a game-winning 20-yard toss with 1:10 left in the contest...set up his first score with an 84-yard pass...was 9-of-18 for 236 yards and two touchdowns versus Coffeyville...threw for a season-high 222 yards in win over fourth-ranked Nassau...had three touchdown passes in the game...threw for three touchdowns and 207 yards against the Valdosta State JV in Sept. 29 meeting...completed over 80 passes...had more than 170 attempts...finished with 10 touchdown passes...team averaged 41.4 points the final eight games...scored more than 40 six times during that stretch...as a freshman directed team to 5-5 mark...coach was Bert Williams...school is located in Milledgeville, Ga.
