Men’s Golf: Ryan Stocke Places in Top Ten at Spring Classic

Sophomore Ryan Stocke placed ninth
to highlight the Youngstown State
men's golf team's spring opener at
the Fort Lauderdale Spring Classic
which was held March 8-9 at Grande
Oaks Golf Course. As a team, YSU
placed eighth out of nine schools.
Stocke carded a two-round 144
(71-73) to tie with three other
competitors for ninth place.
As a team, YSU had a two-round score
of 613 (307-306) to finish eighth.
Loyola (Md.) won the event, which
featured three Horizon League
schools, with a five-over-par 573
Other finishers for YSU included
Ryan McGraw who was 27th with a 152
(73-79), Kyle Romig who placed 34th
carding a 154 (80-74), Jon Hamarik
who finished 40th with a 157
(80-77), Ross Beal was 49th with a
161 (84-77) and Jim Powers tied for
50th with a 164 (83-81).
