Men’s Golf: Penguins
Finish Sixth in Nine Team Notre Dame
Irish Invitational
South Bend, Ind. – The Youngstown
State men’s golf team placed sixth
in the nine team Notre Dame Irish
Invitational on Saturday after their
two-round total of 589 (294-295).
YSU was lead by junior Tim Morrow who carded a 142 (71-71),
which tied him for seventh
place. Three strokes behind Morrow
with a 145 (71-74) was freshman
Spenser Sulzener who placed in 17th.
Also competing for the Guins were junior Ryan Stocke, senior
Ross Beal, and sophomore Jon Hamarik.
Stocke fired a two-round total of
150 (71-74), which was good for
34th. Beal’s total of 152 (76-76)
placed him at 39th, while Jon
Hamarik finished 57th shooting a 165
(81-84).
The Penguins will hit the links again when they compete at
the Norm Bullock Collegiate Classic
in Fairborn, Ohio on Sunday and
Monday.
