Men’s Golf: Stocke’s
and Sulzener’s One-Two Finish Puts
YSU in First Place
Fairborn, Ohio --
Behind two impressive first round
performances, the Youngstown State
men’s golf team is in first place at
the Norm Bullock Collegiate Classic.
Junior Ryan Stocke was the overall
leader of day one after carding a 69
(35-34). Right behind Stocke in
second place was freshman Spenser
Sulzener who fired a 71 (35-36).
Also contributing for the Penguins
are sophomore Tim Morrow who carded
a 76 (38-38), senior Ross Beal who
fired a 78 (39-39), and senior Ryan
McGraw who scored a 85 (43-42).
As a team, YSU holds the overall lead over fellow Horizon
League member Detroit by one stroke
(294-295). Just behind Detroit is
Dayton who is two strokes behind the
Penguins.
The Penguins will conclude the event on Monday.
