Men’s Golf: YSU
Takes Fourth Place in Eight Team
Norm Bullock Collegiate
Fairborn, Ohio – The YSU
men’s golf team wrapped up the Norm
Bullock Collegiate at Greene Country
Club on Monday after a three round
total of 888 (294-300-294) good for
fourth place.
As a team, four Penguins placed in the top 20. The team was
lead by junior Ryan Stocke who
placed in sixth with a three round
total of 218 (69-76-73). Freshman
Spenser Solzner finished right
behind Stocke in seventh place
carding a 220 (71-75-74).
Finishing in 17th shooting a 224 (78-73-73) was
senior Ross Beal. Sophomore Tim
Morrow fired a three round total of
226 (76-76-74) placing 20th. Also
competing for the Guins was senior
Ryan McGraw who fired a score of 239
(85-77-77).
The Horizon League was represented well as member Cleveland
State won the event with an 875,
followed by Dayton and Detroit in
second (882). Entering Monday’s
final two rounds the Penguins were
in first holding a slight lead over
Detroit and Dayton.
The men will return to action when they participate in the
Detroit Titans Invitational on April
18-19.
