Men’s Golf: Penguins
Conclude Fall Season in Sixth at IPFW Fall Classic
Fort Wayne,
Ind. -- The YSU men's golf team
wrapped up their fall season on
Tuesday as they finished sixth at
the IPFW Fall Classic at Deer Track
Golf Course.
As a team the Penguins carded a three-round total of 901
(302-297-307) at the event. Fellow
Horizon League member Loyola won the
event after shooting an 856
(284-273-299).
Leading the Penguins was junior Tim Morrow who finished in
sixth place with a three-round total
of 216 (302-292-307). Four strokes
behind Morrow in 12th was redshirt freshman Joey Santisi
who fired a three round
total of 220 (74-68-78). Sophomore Spenser Sulzener
carded a 233 (302-292-307) at the
event.
Junior Ryan Alpeter
finished in 35th following a
three-round total of 238 (76-75-87).
Three spots behind in 38th was sophomore Michael Turner
who finished the event with a 240
(80-79-81). Michael Lower, a
freshman competed as an individual
at the event and carded a 244
(78-77-89), finishing in 40th.
The Penguins are off until the spring season begins in March.
