Women's Golf: Penguins Tie for Ninth at Rocket Classic; Jones Top Finisher
Toledo, Ohio -- The Youngstown State women's golf team
finished in the tie for ninth with
Northern Illinois at the three-round
Toledo Rocket Fall Classic which
concluded on Sunday. Sophomore
Brittany Jones was the Penguins' top
finisher coming in at 25th position.
Overall, YSU finished with a three-round score of 975
(325-316-334) while Toledo won the
event with an 892.
Jones carded a 237 for the three rounds to tie for 25th
place. Jones had rounds of 80, 79
and 78 in the tournament. Sophomore
Adrianna DiLonardo tied for 38th
after completing a three-round total
of 242. DiLonardo had rounds of 77,
80 and 85. Bonnie Sherman placed
46th with a 246 (85-77-84), Felicia
Ciotola was 53rd with a 250
(83-80-87), Mollie Boney finished
60th with a 256 (89-88-79), Kristen
Albrecht was 71st with a 266
(91-85-90) and Amanda Brindley
placed 74th with a 268 (93-87-88).
The Penguins are back in action on Oct. 8-9 at the Bucknell
Bison Invitational. |
