Women’s Golf: DiLonardo, Jones One-Two Finish Sparks Guins to Title
    Winnetka, Ill. – Sophomore Adrianna DiLonardo took home medalist honors and sophomore Brittany Jones came in second place as the Youngstown State women’s golf team won the five-school Loyola Rambler Invitational which was held on Monday and Tuesday at the Winnetka Golf Club.
    DiLonardo finished four strokes ahead of Jones while freshman Amanda Brindley contributed to the effort with a sixth-place finish. YSU carded a 650 for the 36-hole event with scores of 324 and 326 to earn the victory.
   
The Penguins were able to hold off a second-day charge by the host Ramblers and win by three shots. After the first round, YSU was in nine shots in front of Loyola. IPFW was third with a 678, Cleveland State was fourth with a 694 and Chicago State rounded out the field with a 730.
   
DiLonardo had rounds of 78 and 76 to finish the tournament with a 154. Jones was right behind in second place firing rounds of 80 and 78 posting a mark of 158. Brindley tied for sixth place with rounds of 82 and 83 for a 165.
   
Other finishers for the Guins were sophomore Felicia Ciotola finished 15th with a 173 after rounds of 84 and 89 and freshman Mollie Boney who was 23rd with rounds of 96 and 94 to finish with a 190.
   
The tournament victory for the Penguins was their first since winning the Horizon League Championship in 2003.
    YSU will look to carry the momentum from the Rambler Invitational into the Toledo Rocket Spring Invitational on April 17-18.
