Women's Golf: Penguins Open Spring Action at North/South Collegiate
    Jacksonville, Fla. -- The Youngstown State women's golf team was in seventh place after the first round of the North/South Collegiate in Jacksonville, Fla., on Monday, but the Penguins dropped four spots on Tuesday finishing 11th at the 17-team invitational.
    YSU posted score of 324 on the first day before firing a 359 to finish at 683 for the two rounds. Jacksonville won the event with a 621, while Butler, which was the host of the event, was second with a 632.
    Leading the way for the Penguins was sophomore Adrianna DiLonardo who tied for 39th with a 169 (81-88). Sophomore Felicia Ciotola was 44th with a 170 (81-89), sophomore Kristen Albrecht placed 47th with a 171 (79-82), sophomore Brittany Jones finished 52nd with a 173 (83-90), freshman Amanda Brindley was 57th carding a 177 (91-86), junior Bonnie Sherman was 65th with a 181 (85-96) and freshman Mollie Boney was 73rd scoring a 186 (93-93). Brindley, who had one of the tournament's three eagles, and Boney competed as individuals.
    Albrecht's 79 on the first day was the Guins' low score for the event. She was in a tie for 16th place following the round.
    The Penguins return to action on Wednesday when they compete in the NIU Snowbird Invitational in Tampa, Fla.
