Women’s Golf: Penguins Show Improvement During Final Round, Finish Eighth
    Toledo, Ohio –
The Youngstown State women’s golf team showed solid third-round improvement to finish eighth at 11-team Toledo Rocket Spring Classic on Tuesday at the Dornoch Golf Club.
    The Penguins finished with a three-round score of 1,008 with rounds of 344, 335 and 329. Eastern Michigan won the event with an impressive 900, while the host Toledo was second with a 921.
    Leading the way for Youngstown State was sophomore Brittany Jones who finished 23rd carding a three-round total of 85, 80 and 78.
    Other finishers for the Guins were sophomore Felicia Ciotola finished 37th with a 254 (91-85-78), sophomore Adrianna DiLonardo placed 45th with a 263 (84-96-83), junior Bonnie Sherman was 46th with a 264 (86-88-90) and sophomore Kristen Albrecht was 49th with a 268 (89-82-87).
    The Penguins return to the golf course on May 1-2 when they compete in the Horizon League Championships in Carmel, Ind.
