Golf: Brittany Jones Top Finisher As YSU Finishes 11th at Elon Invitational
Sunset Beach, N.C. -- Junior Brittany Jones tied for
24th as the Youngstown State women's
golf team placed 11th at the Elon
Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate
which concluded on Sunday.
Jones had a 157 by carding rounds of
78 and 79 to be YSU's top placer.
In the team race, YSU had a 658 to
finish 11th out of 14 teams. Elon
won the meet with a 596 while
Gardner Webb was second and Western
Carolina was third.
Other Penguin team finishers
included sophomore Mollie Boney who
was 47th with a 166 (82-84),
freshman Brittany Stillwagon who was
54th with a 168 (80-88), junior
Felicia Ciotola who was 58th carding
a 170 (86-84) and junior Adrianna
DiLonardo who finished 61st with a
171 (85-86). Senior Bonnie Sherman
was 54th with a 168 (81-87)
competing as an individual.
The Penguins are next in action at
the Bucknell Invitational which is
scheduled for Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
