Golf: Jones Earns Top-10 Finish at North/South Intercollegiate
Jacksonville, Fla. -- Junior Brittany Jones earned her
second consecutive top-10 finish,
and fourth of the season, tying for
the 10th spot at the North/South
Intercollegiate which was held
Monday and Tuesday at Jacksonville
Beach Golf Course.
Jones had rounds of 79 and 76 during
the tournament to finish with a 155.
Jackson State's Shasta Averyhardt
took medalist honors with a 145.
As a team, YSU placed 14th after
firing a two-round score of 666
(337-329). Jacksonville won the
event, which featured three Horizon
League schools, with a 622.
Other finishers for the Penguins
were, sophomore Mollie Boney who
finished 46th with a 166 (89-77),
junior Adrianna DiLonardo who placed
50th with a 167 (84-83), senior
Bonnie Sherman was 61st carding a
171 (88-83), freshman Brittany
Stillwagon was 68th firing a 173
(86-87) and junior Felicia Ciotola
was 82nd with a 180 (92-88).
The Penguins are next in action
beginning April 2 when they open
competition at the Cincinnati/Dayton
Invitational.
