Women's Golf: Bonnie Sherman Top Placer in Rain-Shortened Event
Oxford, Ohio -- Senior Bonnie Sherman was the
Youngstown State's women's golf
team's top finisher at
rain-shortened UC Women's
Invitational. The first 18 holes
were played on Monday, but Tuesday's
final round could not be completed
because of heavy rains.
Sherman tied for 16th place with
sixth other golfers after carding a
first round 81. Cincinnati's Hillery
Wilson won the event with a 73. As a
team, YSU was seventh with a 333
while Horizon League member Detroit
won with a 313.
Junior Brittany Jones shot an 83 to
finish in 28th place. Freshman
Brittany Stillwagon had an 84 to
finish 33rd, junior Adrianna
DiLonardo carded an 85 to place 37th
and sophomore Mollie Boney had an 86
to finish 39th.
The Penguins are next in action at
the Bowling Green Spring
Invitational on April 16-17.
