Women's Golf: YSU Women Finish Third At Detroit Fall Classic
Redford, Mich. -- The Youngstown State women's golf
team placed third at the six-team
Detroit Fall Classic which concluded
on Tuesday. Freshman Katie Rogner
and sophomore Brittany Stillwagon
led the charge with top-10 finishes.
YSU finished with a three-round team
score of 657 following rounds of 328
and 329. Oakland won the event with
a 641 while Dayton placed second
with a 654.
Leading the way four consecutive
tournament was freshman Katie Rogner.
Rogner tied for fourth with a 161
(81-80). It was her third top-five
finish this fall.
Placing ninth was sophomore Brittany
Stillwagon who had a two-round 166
(82-84). Junior Mollie Boney
rebounded to tie for 10th place with
a 167 (86-81). Also tying for 10th
was senior Felicia Ciotola who had a
167 (83-84). Senior Brittany Jones
tied for 16th with a 169 (82-87) and
sophomore Ann Ciavarella was 21st
with a 173 (84-89).
Next up for YSU is a trip to Fort
Wayne, Ind., to compete in the IPFW
Fall Classic next Monday and
Tuesday.
