Women's Golf: Penguins Continue Fall Campaign at Great Smokies Invitational
Waynesville, N.C. -- The Youngstown State women's golf
team finished 22nd at the
highly-competitive 24-team Great
Smokies Invitational hosted by
Western Carolina at Waynesville
Country Club over the weekend.
As a team, YSU carded a two-round
total of 651 (330-321) to finish
22nd. Chattanooga won the event with
a 36-hole total of 591.
Leading the way for the Penguins for
the third consecutive meet was
freshman Katie Rogner. Rogner tied
for 62nd with a two-round 160
(79-81).
Other finishers for Youngstown State
included Brittany Stillwagon who was
81st with a 164 (85-79), Felicia
Ciotola who was also 81st with a 164
(81-83), Brittany Jones who placed
94th with a 167 (89-78) and Adrianna
DiLonardo who was 109th with a 170
(85-85).
YSU returns to action on Oct. 8-9 at
the Detroit Titans Fall
Invitational.
