Women's Golf: YSU Claims Second Tournament Crown in a Row
Loretto, Pa. -- After two complete rounds of play at the St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash Invitational, the YSU women's golf team claimed their second tournament crown in a row, a first in the program's history.

Impressively, all seven Penguins finished in the top 10 of the tournament. Freshman Katie Rogner led the team finishing in second place (161), senior Brittany Jones placed third (165), senior Adrianna DiLonardo finished fourth (168), junior Mollie Boney and sophomore Brittany Stillwagon tied for fifth (169), Ann Ciavarella tied for seventh (170), and Felicia Ciotola finished in ninth place (174).

After the first round of play on Sunday, all Penguins finished within the top 12, which gave YSU a sizeable lead to finish strong on Monday and easily claim the tournament.

Youngstown State finished the tournament carding a two-round total of 653. Final points placed the team 46 strokes ahead of second-place team and host, St. Francis (699).  Also finishing in the tournament was Robert Morris in third (712) and Mount St. Mary's in fourth (740).

Next up for YSU will be a trip to Waynesville, N.C., for the Great Smokies Intercollegiate Tournament.
