Women’s Golf: Katie Rogner Named Horizon League Performer of the Week

    After taking home medalist honors the Loyola Caputo Invitational, Youngstown State women's golfer Katie Rogner (Warren, Ohio) was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the second time this season.

    Rogner shot a two-round total of 152 (76-76), which tied for fourth place in YSU history for a 36-hole event. Rogner’s effort helped the Penguins finish in first place at Loyola and their third team victory this year.
    Rogner, a freshman, was named the Golfer of the Week in September. She had two second-place finishes before earning her first career tournament title on Tuesday.
    Loyola's Armando Favela was named the HL Men's Golfer of the Week.

    YSU will look to keep the winning going when they compete in the Horizon League Championships on April 26-27 in Carmel, Ind.
