Women’s Golf: Jones and Rogner in Top 10 After First Round of UC Invite

    Cincinnati, Ohio – Youngstown State women golfers Brittany Jones and Katie Rogner both placed in the top 10 after completing the first round of the University of Cincinnati Invitational at Elks Run Golf Course.
    Jones, a senior, carded a first round total of 79 (40-39) which was good for sixth place.  Rogner, only a freshman, is tied for ninth after scoring an 81 (38-43).
    Other competitors in the event include, Brittany Stillwagon who is 18th with an 83, Mollie Boney is 24th with an 84 and Ann Ciavarella was 52nd with a 95.
    As a team the Penguins are in second place carding a 327, 12 strokes behind Cincinnati. The Guins will finish up the final two rounds of the event tomorrow.
