Women’s Golf: YSU
Places Third at 10-Team Cincinnati
Invitational
Cincinnati, Ohio – The
Youngstown State women’s golf team
placed third out of 10 teams at the
Cincinnati Invitational that
concluded Tuesday at Elks Run Golf
Course.
The Penguins placed third with a
team total of 992 (327-321-337),
only behind Cincinnati and
Butler. Cincinnati carded a 943
while Horizon-League member Butler
shot a 990.
The Penguins were lead by freshman
Katie Rogner who tied for eighth
with a three-round total of 241
(81-78-82). Also in the top 20 were
sophomore Brittany Stillwagon and
junior Mollie Boney. Stillwagon
placed 12th with a three-round total
of 246 (83-81-82). Boney’s
three-round total of 250 (84-83-83)
was good for 18th.
Also contributing for the Penguins
was senior Brittany Jones who shot a
three round total of 246 (79-88-88)
and sophomore Ann Ciavarella who
fired a total of 282 (95-89-98).
YSU will be back in action when they
play in the Loyola Invitational in
Chicago on April 13-15.
