Helped lead Renaissance High School to the Detroit Public School League Championship and the Detroit City Championship as a senior...averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks per game while earning fifth-team all-state accolades...Renaissance posted a 21-4 record his senior campaign...named team's Defensive Player of the Year...the Phoenix beat Catholic League champion Detroit DePorres 57-50 at UDM's Calihan Hall to win the Operation Friendship City Championship...scored 13 points and had six rebounds against DePorres in the game...Renaissance defeated Detroit Redford 54-52 to earn its second PSL title...had six points and nine rebounds in the win...had 10 points and 11 rebounds in the semifinal win over Detroit Murray-Wright...team was upset by Detroit Crockett in the state Class B Quarterfinals...his junior season, team was 22-5 while qualifying for the state semifinals losing to Grand Rapids South Christian in overtime...averaged 12 points and eight rebounds per game as a junior...coach was Mark White...earned three letters in basketball...also competed in track and field and cross country...made the honor roll.
