2007 Bill Dailey Golf Outing Results

Athletics: Penguin Club Bill Dailey Golf Outing a Huge Success
    West Middlesex, Pa. --
The 2007 edition of the Penguin Club Bill Dailey Golf Outing was a huge success on a gorgeous Wednesday afternoon at the Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa. More than 140 golfers participated in this year's event, which helps raise money for Youngstown State athletic scholarships.
    The outing was a four-person best-ball scramble at the challenging par-71, 6,236-yard course. The event started with a shotgun start at 12:15 p.m. with 37 foursomes in action.
    Winning the event was the foursome of John Moliterno, Gregg Strollo, Larry Moliterno and Bob DeLisio with 12-under par score of 59. The group carded a 29 on the front nine finishing with a 30 on back.
    Placing second was the group of Joe Fanto, Bill Yurchyk, Mario Abbatista and Mike Humphries with an 11-under par 60. The group carded a 29 on the front nine and a 31 on the last nine.
    Earning the third-place nod after a scorecard playoff was the foursome of Jeff Houlette, John Luklan, Mike Watson and Rob Luklan with a 10-under par 61. The group had the lowest front-nine score with a 28, but finished with a 33 on the back nine.
    The foursome of Buzz Pishkur, Brian Brisson, Bob Kopas and George Jonda also finished with a 61.
    Winning hole prizes for the afternoon were Gwen Smith-Darnell and Billie Lyda for longest drive by a woman on hole number two, Dom Villetto for closest to the pin on number three, Paul Keller for closest to the pin on number seven, Ron Fox for longest drive by a male on hole number 10, Jeff Grdic for closest to the pin on number 14 and Mike Helon for longest putt made on number 18.
          
    Major sponsors for the events included: DiRusso's Sausage, Gia Russa and John Zidian Co., Giannios Candy Co., Henry Nemenz - Nemenz IGA, Jim Sarvas - Creative Advertising, Gregg Zban - Youngstown Coca-Cola and Superior Beverage.
