Penguin Club: 2007 Jamboree Set for October 25 at The Georgetown
    Youngstown -- The 11th annual Penguin Club Jamboree will be held at The Georgetown in Boardman on Thursday, Oct. 25.
    This year's event again features an impressive lineup of auction items as well as the popular reverse raffle drawing and the side-board drawings. A new Special Door Prize for $500 will be up-for-grabs as well. For information contact the Penguin Club at (330) 941-3720 or (330) 941-2351.
    The buffet dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. with the silent auction and reverse raffle beginning at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from the event benefit YSU Athletic Scholarships.
    Tickets for the raffle cost $100, which includes a ticket to the drawing and dinner. Extra dinner tickets are available for $50. The Grand Prize is $3,000 which goes to the person or group who have the last number drawn. Out of the final five numbers, the group can split the final jackpot any way they want to. There are 20 additional cash prizes with a total of $4,200 available. The side board will follow the big board draws and the pay out will be 50 percent of receipts. Blocks are $10 each or 3 for $25.
    The $500 Door Prize will be distributed after the grand prize is announced. Also, with the new format, two numbers will be eliminated during each draw to save time.
    Silent-auction items include impressive items for both the sports fanatic and the non-enthusiast.
