Soccer: YSU Drops Match to Bowling Green,
10-1
Bowling Green, Ohio -- Bowling Green’s
Christy Coppes scored three goals to
help lead the Falcons to a 10-1
victory over the Youngstown State
Soccer team on Wednesday afternoon.
Hannah Lawther scored the only goal for the Penguins off
an assist from Kim Jugenheimer at
52:39. Bowling Green had three
players with two goals each as Katie
Piening, Jill Conover, and Tracy
Gleixner all scored two goals and
Mandy Piening added one goal. The
Falcons outshot the Penguins 34-7
and outcornered YSU 11-1. YSU
goalkeeper Mia Railing finished the
game with nine saves.
