Soccer: YSU Drops Match to
Howard, 4-2
Youngstown, Ohio --
Howard’s Ranieka Bean scored two
goals to help give the Lady Bisons’
a 4-2 victory over the YSU soccer
team in the final day of play at the
Third Annual Penguin Cup on Sunday
afternoon.
Howard’s Pollyanna Williams and Erinn Garner each added
goals in the second half.
YSU’s Cerid Irvine scored both of the Penguins' goals in
the second half. Freshman goalkeeper
Mia Railing collected five saves for
the Penguins.
The Lady Bisons outshot Youngstown State 24-10 and
outcornered YSU 2-1. The Penguins
(1-6) play at Niagara on Wednesday. |
