Soccer: YSU Drops 3-0 Decision to Southern Utah
Youngstown --
Southern Utah’s Ilene Dixon scored
two first half goals to lead the
Thunderbirds to a 3-0 victory over
the Youngstown State soccer team on
Sunday afternoon at Stambaugh
Stadium.
Dixon began the scoring at the 30:06 mark and
Denise Lindley added a goal 32
seconds later to give Southern Utah
a 2-0 advantage. Dixon added her
second goal of the game at the 34:18
mark to finish off the scoring. The
Thunderbirds outshot the Penguins
40-8 and outcorned the YSU 7-2 en
route to their first win in school
history. |
