Soccer: YSU Drops
Match to Weber State 9-1

The Youngstown State soccer team
lost to Weber State 9-1 on Sunday
afternoon in the Bengal Classic
Tournament. Hannah Lawther scored
the Penguins’ only goal off an
assist from Casey Dick in the first
half, but Weber State dominated the
entire game scoring five goals in
the first half and four goals in the
second half to give them the
victory.
Senior goalkeeper Christine Handte had seven saves while
freshman Mia Railing collected nine
saves. Weber State outshot the
Penguins 34-10 and outcornered YSU
5-2. The Penguins will play on
Wednesday at 4 p.m. vs. Bowling
Green. |
