Soccer: Bison Topple Penguins, 4-0
Youngstown --
Howard's Ranieka Bean scored three goals and had one
assist to lead the Lady Bison to a
4-0 win over the Youngstown State
Women's soccer team on Wednesday
afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.
Bean scored her first goal at 20:51 off an assist from
Karisma Horne and added her second
and third goals of the game at 61:24
and 65:00.
Howard outshot Youngstown State 26-13 and outcornered the
Penguins 6-2. Freshman Jessica
Yarter took five shots for YSU.
Freshman keeper Cailtin Bestard
recorded 10 saves for the Penguins.
With the loss Youngstown State falls to 1-11 on the season.
The Lady Bison improve to to 4-7-1
with the win.
The Penguins return to action on Sunday, Oct. 13, when they
play host to Horizon League foe
UW-Green Bay at noon, at Stambaugh
Stadium.
