Soccer: Rockets Blank Penguins, 6-0

The Youngstown State Women's Soccer team fell to
1-14 on the season after losing a
non-conference match to the
University of Toledo, 6-0, on Sunday
afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.
Toledo's Britney Lawrence scored two goals to help lead the
Rockets to victory. Lawrence
scored her first goal of the contest
at 1:04 off an assist from Melissa
Lesage and added her second goal at
28:52 off a pass from Alissa DeLong.
The Rockets outshot the Penguins 26-7 and outcornered YSU
2-1. Freshman keeper Jennifer
Jennings recorded six saves for
Youngstown. Toledo improves to
7-6-2 with the win.
The Penguins return to action on Friday, Oct. 25, when they
play host to Horizon League foe
Detroit at 7 p.m. at Stambaugh
