Soccer: Penguins Fall to Louisville,
4-1
Louisville, KY --
Louisville’s Lisa Martin scored two goals to
lead the Cardinals to a 4-1 victory
over the Youngstown State soccer
team on Saturday night at Cardinal
Park.
Martin scored her first goal at 8:30 off an assist from Mandy
Rost and added another goal at
49:13. Also scoring for the
Cardinals were Megan Rasmussen and
Andrea Marak.
Sophomore Diane Fellabaum scored the Penguins only goal off
an assist from Cerid Irvine at
37:56. Freshman goalkeeper Caitlin
Bestard recorded 10 saves for the
Penguins. YSU falls to 1-2 on the
season.
The Cardinals outshot the Penguins 29-8 and outcornered YSU
7-0.
YSU returns to action on Friday, September 13, when they play
host to IUPUI at 4 p.m |
