Lawther Lifts Penguins in Scrimmage,

St. Louis, MO. --
Freshman Maddie Lawther scored the
winning goal off a pass from
sophomore Katie Deprey as the
Youngstown State Soccer team beat
Washington University, 1-0, on a hot
Friday afternoon in St. Louis.
YSU head coach Elizabeth Bartley said she was very impressed
with how her team performed this
past week.
"We still have a lot to work on, but our defense was strong
and we created more combination
plays which helped us take more
shots."
The Penguins return to action, tomorrow, when they travel to
Slippery Rock for a 2:30 p.m.
