Penguins Capture Slippery Rock Spring Tournament
Slippery Rock, Pa. –
The Youngstown State women’s soccer
team posted a 7-0-1 record to win
the Slippery Rock Spring Tournament
last weekend.
The Penguins defeated Slippery Rock II, 3-0, in the
championship after knocking off
Slippery Rock I in the semifinals.
In the semifinals, the Penguins tied
The Rock, 0-0, at the end of
regulation but the Penguins earned a
trip to the championship by
defeating Slippery Rock, 4-2, in a
shootout.
Youngstown State opens the 2004 season against Robert Morris
on August 27 at 4 p.m. in Moon
Township, Pa. |
