Bulldogs Shutout Penguins, 2-0
Indianapolis --
Butler used two second-half goals to post a 2-0 win
over the Youngstown State soccer
team in a conference match on Friday
afternoon at Varsity Field.
The contest was scoreless until the 67th minute when Butler's
Marcie Stucky scored on a free kick
to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
Less than three minutes later Rachel
Pivarnik headed in the goal off a
pass from Stucky.
Senior Mia Railing recorded 16 saves for the Penguins.
Butler outshot YSU 32-6 and
outcornered the Penguins 3-0.
With the loss YSU falls to 0-12-1,
while Butler improves to 4-6-2
overall.
The Penguins are next in action when they travel to Fort
Wayne for a match with IPFW at 1
