    Raleigh, N.C. --
The Youngstown State soccer team dropped its third straight match this season after suffering a 8-0 loss to UNC-Wilmington in the first day of competition at NC State
Summit Hospitality Classic on Friday afternoon.
The Penguins allowed only one goal in the first half, but UNCW connected with the net seven times in the second half to help secure the victory.
Youngstown had a chance early in the 12th minute when midfielder Brittny Humphrey took a shot from 15 yards center, but was saved by the Seahawks' Tiffany Langford.  Katie Duracky and Sadie Brookman each had a shot on goal, all stopped by Langford.
The Seahawks outshot the Penguins 24-6 and outcornered YSU 9-5.  Junior keeper Caitlin Bestard recorded seven saves.
The Penguins return to action on Sunday, Sept. 12 when they play host team NC State at 2:30 p.m.  Sundays games will be played at Method Road Stadium on the NCSU campus.
