N.C. State Slides Past YSU, 5-0

Four different players scored for NC State en route to a 5-0 victory over the Youngstown State soccer team in the final match of the Summit Hospitality Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Method Road Soccer Stadium.
     NC State outshot YSU 30-1
and held the edge on corners 7-5.  With the win, the Pack improves to 5-0-1, while YSU falls to 0-4-1 on the season.
    NC State took an early lead in the 15th minute when Katherine Warman scored off a pass from Christina Mann.  Anna Helenius added back to back goals at 25:59 and 41:59 to give the Pack a 3-0 advantage before the half.  Erin Griswold gave NC State its fourth goal of the game on a free kick in the 81st minute, while Molly Orr closed out the scoring at 85:10.
    The Penguins return to action on Sept. 17 when they travel to Ames, Iowa for the Nike Iowa State Invitational.  YSU will face Iowa State on Sept. 17 at 5 p.m. and Creighton on Sept. 19 at 11 a.m.
