Soccer: YSU Gets Shut Out by Division Rival Wright State
Youngstown --  The Penguins could not get on the scoreboard again in Sunday afternoon's Horizon League opening match against Wright State in the 1-0 loss.

Youngstown State (0-10 overall, 0-1 Horizon League) played strong defense against the Raiders throughout the game. Goalkeeper Jessica Yarter stopped all of Wright State's six shots on goal in the first half.
YSU's midfielder Jenna Fink took two shots as well as one shot on goal. Forward Carrie Wack also took shot on goal in the second half. The Penguins came alive with a shot by midfielder Sadie Brookman that looked like a score but was deflected off the cross bar. Yarter continued to stop the Raiders scoring attempts with seven more saves making a total of 13 saves for the game.
Wright State (5-3-1, 1-0-1) finally broke through the Penguins defense with a goal by Jen Hansen at 81:25. The assist came from WSU forward Kim Chianese.
The contest was the third straight contest in which YSU lost 1-0.
The Penguins continue action this Friday as they travel to Niagara.
