Youngstown State Defeated by UW-Milwaukee 7-0
Milwaukee, Wis. -- Youngstown State
(1-13, 1-3 Horizon League) could not
stop UW-Milwaukee's offense (7-4-3,
4-0-1) as the Penguins lost 7-0 in
Friday afternoon's match.
Milwaukee midfielder Jodi Klagos put the Panthers in the lead
with a quick score off an assist
from Ginny Graczyk and Taylor
Powell which came just two minutes
into the game.
Milwaukee continued their offensive attack as they scored two
more times in the first half. Bailey
Briggs made the second goal at 24
minutes into the game off the assist
from Joanna Severson. Taylor Powell
put the third point on the board
with the assist from Molly Duffy and
Brenda Neighbauer.
Sadie Brookman and Rochelle Boone
each took a shot for the Penguins in
the second half.
Forward Sarah Teegarden ignited her
the Panthers offense scoring two
goals within four minutes of each
other. Stacey Faude and Katie
Campion added the final two goals
late in the game making the final
score 7-0.
Milwaukee outshot the Penguins 36-2. YSU goalkeeper Caitlin
Bestard finished with eight saves
while Milwaukee goalie Erin Cane
collected two.
The Penguins will continue weekend soccer play as they travel
to Indiana to take on Valparaiso on
Sunday at 1 p.m. |
