Gapczynski and Caitlin Lee Receive
Horizon League Honors

Defender Caitlin Lee became the
first player from Youngstown State
to be named to the Horizon League
First-Team. Also for the first time
since joining the Horizon League,
YSU had two players named to the
All-Newcomer Team with Caitlin
Bodzioney and Jordan Gapczynski.
Lee a sophomore from
Ijamsville, Md was named to the
All-League First Team. Lee started
in all games to date since her
freshman year. Head Coach Anthony
James described Lee as difficult to
beat in one on one situations. James
also said that Lee creates offensive
opportunities for the strikers.
As a freshman, Lee was named to the
All-Newcomer Team.
Gapczynski, a freshman from Wexford, Pa., was named to the
All-Newcomer Team. Gapczynski played
in all 16 games and started in
eight. She lead the team with five
goals. Gapczynski also had the most
shots with 28.
Bodzioney, a freshman from Avon
Lake, Ohio, was also chosen for the
All-Newcomer Team. Bodzioney leads
the league in saves per game with
7.31 and in total saves with 117.
James was very excited about the recognition the
players have received from the
league.
