Soccer: Penguins Add English Soccer
Standout Natalie Brady
Youngstown --
The Youngstown State soccer team has
signed its first-ever
student-athlete from England with
the addition of midfielder Natalie
Brady (Lancashire, England), Coach
Anthony James announced on Monday.
Brady is a current member of the Everton Ladies reserve
football team and was named the
Player of the Year on three
occasions. She won a Lancashire Cup
in 2005 while finishing second in
the Lancashire League three times
with her team and was runner up
twice for the Lancashire Cup.
"She is a student-athlete who will be expected to have an
immediate impact on our program this
fall," James said. "She is an
exceptionally gifted student-athlete
who recently completed her Advance
Level Classes in England. She is
extremely athletic and possesses
tremendous technical speed on the
ball. Our team will greatly benefit
from having an experienced
international player on our team who
possesses a very high work ethic."
Brady is the latest addition in YSU's incoming class which
was already considered third best in
the Horizon League by
Soccerbuzz.com.
Forwards Jodi Bowlen (Austintown,Ohio.) and Jordan
Gapczynski (Wexford, Pa.),
midfielder Mariah Snyder
(Youngstown, Ohio) as well as
defender Kate Bonn (Bethel Park,
Pa.) and goal keeper Caitlin
Bodzioney (Avon Lake, Ohio) signed
with YSU previously. |
