Soccer: Carrie Wack Records Hat Trick in 3-3 Tie At Wheeling Jesuit

Wheeling, W.Va.
-- Sophomore forward Carrie Wack scored three goals as the Youngstown State soccer team tied Division II Wheeling Jesuit 3-3 in an exhibition game on Friday night.
Wheeling Jesuit opened the scoring 20 minutes into the contest to take a 1-0 lead. Wack scored her first goal of the contest at the 35-minute mark to tie the game.
The Penguins grabbed a lead early in the second half as Wack found the back of the net for the second time in the game. However, the Cardinals answered with two scores to pull ahead 3-2.
Wack scored the equalizer with 10 minutes remaining and the contest concluded in a 3-3 tie.
Head Coach Anthony James said he was pleased with the Guins' performance, but much work still needs to be done prior to the season opener next Friday at Robert Morris.
"We experimented with a few things that worked and tried some other things that didn't work," James said. "There were moments in the game where we were in total control, then there were other times we were too relaxed. I am happy to get this first scrimmage out of the way and look forward to our second exhibition against Slippery Rock on Sunday."
The Penguins will play host to the Rock on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Stambaugh Stadium.
