Youngstown State Drops 3-0 Decision to Bowling Green

Youngstown-- Bowling Green's (3-4-1) strong offensive effort proved to be too much for Youngstown State (1-8) as the Penguins lost 3-0 in Sunday afternoon's match-up.
Both defenses worked hard in the first half to keep the game scoreless for the first 45 minutes of play. The Guins attempted four shots, including two on goal by Jenna Fink and Jordan Gapczynski. Both shots were saved by the Falcon's goalkeeper Alexa Arsenault.

BGSU forward Jackie Tamerlano ignited her team's offense in the second half with a goal at 49:03. Corbie Yee was credited with the assist. Tamerlano then scored off another assist from Jen Czapka at the 57 minute mark to give the Falcons the 2-0 lead.
Mariah Snyder played her first full game as goalkeeper for the Penguins collecting 13 saves. Snyder did not allow any more scores until the last seven seconds of the match when Megan Moran knocked in Bowling Green's final point.
Tessa Brookman and Taylor Pickens each had a shot for the Guins in the second half while Lauren Brennan made a shot on goal.
The soccer team will host St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
